Mock papers are the most overused study tool in Mandarin prep. Used right, they help. Used wrong, they create false confidence. Use them late
Mock papers in the last six weeks before the real test. Not earlier. Earlier wastes them.
Take them timed
Always under exam conditions. No phone, no notes, no pause. Otherwise the score is meaningless.
Debrief afterward
Spend twice as long debriefing as taking. Categorise every wrong answer. Vocabulary, grammar, technique, or time.
A mock paper without a debrief is a wasted afternoon. The debrief is where the learning happens.

Every MMC programme begins with a written diagnostic. Where the learner is. Where they need to be. The shortest honest path between the two. Lessons are designed backward from the target, not forward from a syllabus the learner is forced to follow.
